La Serre is a French-Mediterranean restaurant located in Fulton Market. The restaurant opened one year ago, and draws inspiration from the coastal regions of Provence and Saint-Tropez for its dishes. Aside from having great dishes, I think the restaurant has a great ambiance as well. It's filled with a lot of Bohemian decor, flowers, natural light, and greenery.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect walking in, but our whole group was pleasantly surprised. The dinner was excellent, our waiter was incredibly friendly, and I’m already looking forward to returning to La Serre this spring and summer! Here is everything we ordered:
Tuna Crudo: We loved the Tuna Crudo. The yuzu sauce was refreshing and a great appetizer to get dinner started.

Linguine and Clams: I ordered this as my entree, and I absolutely loved it. It's a very buttery dish, so if you're not a fan of that, I would suggest ordering something else. The crunch from the lemon bread crumbs was a great addition, too.

Steamed Mussels: I'm always a fan of a white wine sauce for mussels, and our whole table loved this! The sauce was really flavorful and great for dipping bread.

Whipped Potatoes: these were a great side, and definitely very filling.

14 oz NY Strip: La Serre serves 100% all-natural Linz heritage black Angus beef, but for some reason, I just did not like the steak that much. I would give it another try.

Crab Croquette and Truffle Brie Tart: I thought these little bites were good! However, definitely too small to share for a group, as they come in pairs.

French Onion Fondue: This dish sounded intriguing, but isn't something I would order again.

Branzino Special: One of the specials during our visit to La Serre last summer was branzino, filleted tableside. The only photo I have is of Dino, filled with a lot of excitement as he watched the process. He really enjoyed the fish, too.
