DJ’s Great Room is a new spot I had passed many times since it opened, and always wondered about. It looks spacious from the outside, and seemed like the kind of place that's great to checkout during the summer. When we were planning a girls’ happy hour, we felt like it was a perfect time to finally check it out since none of us had been before.

The restaurant has a good ambiance for a summer happy hour with big garage door windows, high ceilings, a spacious patio, and tons of natural light. The happy hour menu is well-sized, with good drink and food specials from 4-6pm. While the setting was nice, the restaurant didn’t quite live up to the potential.

Drinks: I had a glass of rosé and dirty martini from the menu. I liked the rosé, but sadly didn't really like my dirty martini. The frosé we tried was delicious.

There was a big group of us, so we ended up ordering all of the happy hour food items and sharing. Some of the appetizers were a good portion size, others were really small. The food really didn’t hit the mark for me, and the only thing I did like was the Sweet Potato Tots with the lemon & herb aioli.

Overall, I think DJ's has a good ambiance and the drinks were pretty good for a casual summer happy hour, but I'd skip the food next time.
