Nobu, located at Randolph and Peoria in West Loop, offers a happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 6 PM. While this happy hour is typically held on the rooftop, it was moved to the first-floor bar and lounge because of the weather. The bar and lounge area is still beautiful.
I've visited this Nobu location a few times, and one thing it definitely never lacks is ambiance. The happy hour menu featured discounted drinks and bites from their normal menu. Everything we ordered tasted great, including the drinks! The portions were small, and still at Nobu prices, but a good discount from the normal menu prices. The lychee martini was honestly incredible—one of my favorites ever. Shoutout to the bartender.
Yellowtail Jalapeño: As usual at Nobu, the Yellowtail Jalapeño was fantastic. But, 3 pieces of it for $16 is a lot.
Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna: I really like Nobu's Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, and even though these were small little bites, they had a lot of good flavor and texture.
Rock Shrimp Tempura: this dish was great and I loved the greens they served with it to balance out the strong flavors of the shrimp.
Spicy Tuna and Salmon Avocado Maki: Nobu knows how to do basic rolls very well. The fish tasted fresh and the nori was perfect.
